Select and Better
This select and better grade hardwood has a uniform color with few knots or pinholes.
As a #2 common grade, this unfinished hickory hardwood flooring shows natural variations, manufacturing imperfections, pronounced character, and contrasting appearance.
As a #3 common grade, this unfinished hickory flooring shows more knots, mineral streaks, and color variety. This product is also combined with utility grade hardwood featuring boards that show a lot of natural character such as light and dark boards, extremely short board lengths (approx. 9″), and very evident knots and pinholes. This grade of flooring may also include splits, cracks, open knot holes, broken tongues or grooves, and other natural defects. With this grade a small percentage may be unusable. It is suggested that a waste factor of 10 – 15% be added to your actual square foot calculation to allow for this possibility.
Euro Character – 2′ to 10 ‘ Lengths
This Euro character grade contains a wide variation in both color and natural characters, consisting of a mixture of all grades and allowing for a floor with 2′ to 10 ‘ length planks.
